The finished print ready for framing.
Been so long since i posted anything I’d forgotten how to do it and posted the same thing twice!
The print is of a very impressive Sweet Chestnut in Rectory Wood, Church Stretton.
After a bit of a break, back to doing some printing again!
Made some final alterations to the shadow cast on the path, (very hard to stop fiddling, even after its been signed)! Then spent too much time sanding and staining a frame after deciding that the usual white looked wrong and black looked too sombre. Settled on a matt grey/brown which I think works well and has a natural, rustic, feel.

Acrylic on canvas. 16 x 12 ins.
I have just finished the print which I was commissioned to do of Gogbatch in All Stretton, and delivered it to the Ragleth Gallery. I had forgotten what a lovely spot Gogbatch is, with its wandering stream and distant view of Caradoc.
First two blocks cut and proofed. Third one drawn up, ready for cutting.
First block of my new print of Gogbatch drawn up and ready to start cutting.
Start of a new painting of Cardingmill Valley.
Another 6 x 6 in.
Extreme bit of reworking. Have cut down canvas of Barmouth Estuary from 2015, re-stretched and re-framed.
Just finished another 6 x6 in painting of Caer Caradoc during the last snow flurry.
Bodbury seen from New Pool Hollow. That’s looking back down the path to the reservoir.
Reworked the foreground of the Bodbury painting. Much happier with it now. Seem to be doing more of this recently. Things look different a couple of weeks on. Always caught between ‘ I can improve that’ and ‘move on, the next one will be better’!
Cardingmill Valley after some of our recent snow. 6 x 6ins.
Bodbury Ring hill fort and The Lawley seen from the Burway. 12 x 9 ins.
