Just finished a moody painting of Cardingmill Valley with mist covering the hills. Acrylic on canvas, 16 x 12 ins. You’d be hard pushed to see the valley empty at the moment though.

Another version of the Long Mynd hills painting. Less sombre and a looser style. 6 x 6ins.

Fifth layer completed. Just remains to choose the best five and destroy the rest. Traditionally the blocks should be defaced as well so that the edition cannot be ‘extended’ in the future.

Today is a printing day, finishing the edition of ‘Snow, Cardingmill Valley’ that was selling so well before The Ragleth Gallery went into lockdown.

Haven’t done any charcoal drawing for a long time. Really enjoyed it, especially using a textured board rather than paper.

The exhibition runs from 24 Sept to 1 Nov at Gallery3 at The Gateway, Shrewsbury. Always an interesting mixture of work by local artists.
Ragleth Gallery in Church Stretton have just sold a ‘Fog, Cardingmill Valley’ print, so I took the opportunity while replacing it to sneak in a couple more.
